Thank you
For those of you from south of the wall and less familiar with Glasgow, we figured we would provide some guidance on hotels and best areas to stay for when you are booking your accommodation. West End hotels close to the venue are a bit more limited and expensive than the city centre but a few stops on the Subway or a cheap taxi gets you to the venue in no time at all.
West End – Closest to venue
Finnieston – 20-25 min walk to venue or 5 min taxi
City Centre – Subway to Hillhead station or 10 min taxi away from venue
Assuming most of you will be up here longer than just one night, we thought it would be good to provide some restaurant and bar recommendations. Now given it will be Halloween and payday weekend, we recommend you book restaurants well in advance for the Friday or alternatively have a few pints and a chippy, up to you!
Below are a mixture of cuisines and price ranges that would all require a reservation, plenty more casual options if you prefer to keep it low-key!
West End
City Centre
Not as clued up on the city but will recommend my cousins places which are spot on
Plenty of casual dining spots or places better for those of you with kids
As for pubs, there are plenty in the city and some great areas in the west end like Woodlands, Byres Rd and Finnieston. Recommendations available on request or go explore yourself.
